2022 Beginning of the Year Update Letter

Good morning Sargent Sharks,

The 2022-2023 school year is upon us! We hope that you have enjoyed your summer and remained safe. We are excited for the return of all Sharks! I would like to extend a special welcome to all of the new families joining Sargent this year and welcome back all of our returning families as well! 

I wanted to give you a few updates on upcoming events for the start of the 2022-2023 school year.

BEGINNING OF SCHOOL EVENTS

Classroom Assignments Class assignments will be emailed to families at 4:00pm on Friday, August 19th. Class placement is a collaborative, comprehensive process and we all appreciate your trust, respect, and support of that process. 

First Grade Orientation This is an opportunity for you and your child to come in, meet their teacher, see their classroom and get a feel for the school before the first day of school. It will be on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 10:45 am. Please meet in the cafeteria.

First Day of School Wednesday, August 31st is the first day of school. We will be in school on Wednesday, August 31st, and Thursday, September 1st. We will have Friday, September 2nd, and Monday, September 5th off for the long holiday weekend.
